In the pretty
hamlet of Juillac in the Southern
Hills of the Dordogne valley opposite vineyards.
There are attractive
views down a meadowed valley interspersed with walnut trees.
Although
giving the impression of being totally remote in its own small hamlet and 'away
from it all', it is only a few kilometres from St. Laurent la Vallee,
St. Pompon and the extremely attractive village of Daglan
Both
these villages have restaurants, bakers, bar, butchers, post office.In
addition there is a very modern chemist in St. Pompon and in Daglan there
is a small supermarket.
There
are many Chateaux in the immediate region including the impressive Castelnaud
(10 minutes by car) which looks out over the Dordogne, its beaches and
canoeing.
A
little further along the river is La
Roque Gageac, once voted the prettiest village in France - and when
you visit you will understand why.
The main part of this house was built 200 years ago but it has been totally
modernised and a new wing
added.

of accommodation:
The
old part has a spacious living/dining room with open planned well equipped
kitchen - fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooker/oven, Senseo-espressomach., hot water kettle, etc.
There is still the old stone oven in the corner as well as the
original sink. The modern renovations include an open wood
burning fire.The sitting area has a comfortable settee. There are 2 Sat.TVs/video, a music centre, CD's, books and games.
French
doors open to the sunny, flowery
terrace. Beyond the partially covered terrace is a small garden and a lovely swimming
pool (5x10m) with terraces. An alarm will go off if a
child falls in the pool and no one is around.
Next to the kitchen is a bathroom, with washbasin and
W.C.
Stairs lead to a mezzanine which has entry to a double bedroom.
The
new wing incorporates a separate W.C. just by the front
door. Beyond is a spacious shower room with washbasin and washing machine.
Then the
master
bedroom with a king size bed.
Eiderdowns,
pillows, vacuüm cleaner, iron, ironboard, baby cot & high chair
are provided.
NB. A 5th person is only allowed
after having permission of the owners, a baby cot and spare bed are available

cleaning (€ 75) obligatory. No pets allowed.
