Set on the outskirts of the pittoresque village of Tremolat on the banks of the river Dordogne 100 M from the village shops, you'll find this most enchanting holiday home 'la Tuilière'.
The house has been owned by the same family for over 150 years. It has been modernised over the years, but all the original details such as high ceilings. wooden panels, two fire places, oak doors and floors, etc... are well preserved.
La Tuilière has its own private acces to the river Dordogne with its own small beach for swimming and sunbathing overlooking the Tremolat Bridge.
Four canoes are stored in the barn and are at your disposal.
This lovely property (6 acres) and the lively village of Tremolat are certainly worth a holiday.
Tremolat is just half an hour's drive from Bergerac and 10 minutes from the medieval villages of Le Bugue and Cadouin.
In Tremolat there are 2 small supermarkts, a bakkery, some restaurants (bistro, pizzeria, 2x ferme auberge), antiqueshop, hairdresser, garage and petrol station.

Long ago 'La Tuilière'(tiler) used to be a place where roofing tiles were produced.
During the winter of 2006 the house is getting an extensive 'make-over' and end 2008 a pool will be added. All the original details are preserved but the bedrooms and the other rooms have been redecorated.
Via the outside stairs you enter the dining room with its open fire place, dining table, cabinets and cupboards it is equiped with (French) TV and DVD.
To the right of the hall there are two bedrooms (1x lit- twin bed (160x200) and 1 with 2 x 1 - single beds)
also the new bathroom with WC, washbasin and bath/ shower.
Left of the dining-room in the hall is the entrance to the fully equipped kitchen (gas/oven, microwave, senseo coffeemachine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, etc...), behind the kitchen the spacious living room overlooks the garden and the river Dordogne: with open fire place, armchairs, settees, cupboards and a (new comfortable) 2-pers sofa /bed.
Stairs lead to the cellar and the washing machine.
Also available : Central heating, duvets, pillows, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, iron/board, 1 baby cot, 1 high chair, BBQ, garden furniture, sunbeds, parasol, separate barn with canoes and bikes .
Pets accepted on prior consultation.
End of stay cleaning obligatory. Linen available 20 euro's pp.
