In the Southern part of the Dordogne near the medieval villages of Prats du Perigord and Villefranche du Perigord you will find 'La Borie Blanche', a small and quiet hamlet amidst meadows and nut trees.
The property 'La Borie Blanche' (a borie is a small round stone building with a stone roof where the sheperds used to seek shelter) is currently being built under architectural guidance and will be ready by june 2008. New pictures available in june, they will be sent directly to your email adress.
The house has a playground and terrace at the back of the house next to the childsafe fenced pool (9 x 4 m).
The owner offers the possibility of 'table d'hotes': a traditional lunch or dinner at the house once a week. Menu: Tourrain, foie gras, confit de canard, (garlic soup, duck liver pate and duck breast ) wine and eau de vie included.
In Villefranche du Perigord you will find everything for daily shopping: restaurants, bakeries, bars, butchers, post office, bank, small supermarkets (epicerie/bar in Prats du Perigord), take-away food, chemist etc.
At only 4 km.from the house, near Prats du Perigord, there is a small lake with sand beaches, playgrounds, snack bar, etc.

'La Borie Blanche' is a traditional stone house, but surprising as well because of the architectural influence. The owners made a match of high quality antiquities and modern furniture.
Several cars can be parked next to the house.

Sliding doors in the kitchen give acces to the terrace with another dining table and view on the garden (south faced) and swimming pool.
Next to the kitchen the living room with open fire place, comfortable settees, sat. TV, DVD-player, telephone, etc.
Off living room 2 double bedrooms, a spacious shower room with shower, washbasin, and WC.
The 3rd bedroom has a double bed (all beds are 160 x 200 cm with 2 matrasses) and a bunk bed.
2nd shower room with shower and wash basin. Separate WC.
Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
For early spring and autumn there is electric heating. Also available: iron and iron board, duvets, pillows, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, 1baby cot and 1 high chair. There also is a BBQ, garden furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas.
Linen available, end of stay cleaning possible.
